An Exciting New Chapter for Tamboerskloof in 2026
From 1 January 2026, our Tamboerskloof branch enters an exciting new phase as Gym Wizards partners with Ignite Gymnastics. The venue will operate as Ignite Gymnastics, powered by Gym Wizards Academy, bringing expanded programmes, new equipment and continued excellence in coaching. This collaboration ensures continuity, growth and a unified coaching vision for girls, boys, parkour, tumbling and gymnastics, while Gym Wizards remains an active part of the journey.
Rest assured our Parkour programme continues in full motion and follows the structured colour-level Ninja curriculum.
Meet the New Team
Nicole Dirk
Founder & Head Coach – Ignite Gymnastics (Salt River Branch)
Nicole Dirk is the Founder and Head Coach of Ignite Gymnastics and brings exceptional expertise to the Ignite team.
She is a former High Performance gymnast who represented Western Province at Level 9 by the age of twelve and has over thirteen years of coaching experience.
Qualifications and experience include:
FIG Level 1
First Aid and Safeguarding certification
BA Hons in Sports Recreation and Exercise Science
WAG Programme Manager and Events Coordinator for the Cape Town Gymnastics Association
Nicole has represented Western Cape as a coach at SA Nationals and actively participates in the Women’s Leadership Programme hosted by the Cape Town Sports Council.
Nicole will be predominantly based at Ignite’s Salt River branch.
Ceara De Gouveia
Owner, Head Coach & Manager – Tamboerskloof Branch
Ceara De Gouveia brings eleven years of coaching experience and a deep passion for athlete development.
She reached Level 6 as a gymnast before moving into coaching and has experience working with gymnasts from toddler level through to adults.
Qualifications and experience include:
FIG Level 1
First Aid and Safeguarding certification
Western Cape representative coach at Nationals
Participant in the Women’s Leadership Programme
From 1 January 2026, Ceara will be based full-time at Tamboerskloof, overseeing all coaching, administration and day-to-day operations.

What’s Changing at Tamboerskloof
Gym Wizards has officially sold the Tamboerskloof branch to Ignite Gymnastics.
From 1 January 2026, Nicole Dirk and Ceara De Gouveia will take over ownership and operations at the NG Church venue.
Parents can rest assured that existing programmes continue as you know them, with exciting new additions launching in 2026.
